Frequently Asked Questions
Why have I received an email from you?
The NHS Preventing Type 2 Diabetes Service is now a core part of diabetes prevention care in North West London, offered in addition to the service provided by your GP practice.
Your GP has requested that we contact you to share helpful advice, tips and resources and to invite you to create a Preventing Diabetes account. Please speak to your GP if you think this is a mistake.
I registered but I haven't received an email from you?
If you registered but didn't receive an email from us please check your spam or junk folder. Another common reason is typos when typing your email address. Please try again to register and if you still have problems contact us via our contact page.
How do I access free programmes to help me with my health?
Login into your Preventing Diabetes account to access free programmes to help you with your diabetes. If you do not have an account we also list various free programmes that are available in North West London here.
Will the Preventing Diabetes Service offer any advice on medical-related issues?
The Preventing Diabetes Service does not provide individual advice to patients hence will not respond to questions about individual health issues. Any websites and apps we suggest should never replace advice from your doctor, nurse or dietitian.
You must always seek medical help and advice for any medical condition, diagnosis, or treatment you need from your healthcare team. Please call 999 in an emergency or call NHS 111 if you have an urgent medical problem and you’re not sure what to do.
How do I unsubscribe?
On the bottom of the emails you have received you will find an option to update your preferences or unsubscribe from our emails altogether.
